8m Cosmos Dome Outdoor Classroom – Mercy Convent, Naas

Mercy Convent in Naas wanted to create a dedicated outdoor classroom that would allow students to learn in a bright, natural environment while still being sheltered from the Irish weather. The school was looking for a versatile space large enough to host full class groups, adaptable for a range of subjects and activities, and durable enough to provide long-term value. The solution needed to combine functionality with inspiration – a space that would enhance outdoor learning and encourage creativity across the curriculum.

We designed and installed an 8m Cosmos Dome at Mercy Convent, creating a spacious and adaptable outdoor classroom tailored to the school’s needs. The dome provides seating for a full class with room for flexible layouts, making it suitable for everything from curriculum-based lessons to after-school clubs. Constructed with premium, UV-stable polycarbonate glazing, the structure is weatherproof, low-maintenance, and filled with natural light.

The result is a durable and inspiring learning space that blends the benefits of the outdoors with the comfort of a protected classroom, giving students and teachers a unique environment to learn, create, and connect all year round.
